Jason

Jason Jablon

Coach Jason Jablon has the experience of a tenured coach and trainer to lead our staff at Elevate Hoops Academy.  His energy and work ethic are unmatched with his drive to give our athletes the resources they need to succeed on and off the court. 

 

Coach Jay’s approach is to focus on the fundamentals of the game. Coach Jay creates an atmosphere which allows each athlete to improve every time they step on the court. The environment is positive, welcoming and fun, while focusing on developing the skills of the game. His goal is also to unleash a mindset that instills confidence through preparation. Players will evolve through thoughtful drills that force them to react while learning through repetition. Coach Jay is dedicated to the game and having an impact on children’s lives. He will provide Intensive drill progression while giving the players the opportunity to obtain a high basketball IQ by committing to the programming. Coach Jay is trained to focus on player development, but more importantly the health, wellness, character development and life skills of each player.  
 

Coach Jay started his coaching career at a young age. He has been mentored by some of the most successful coaches in PA. During his student teaching tenure at McKeesport he drove to Somerset High School every day to be an assistant coach. The following season he earned the Head Coaching position, where he served as Athletic Director as well. After four very successful seasons at Somerset he served as an assistant at the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown. Coach Jay then turned to training kids and developing skills. For seven years Coach Jay oversaw the Basketball Program at Divine Mercy Academy.  During that time, he coached grades 3-8th boys and girls. Coach Jay has extensive experience running clinics and camps. After moving to the Fox Chapel area he continued to train athletes from all age groups. Last season he was on the staff for the Fox Chapel girls basketball program where he led the 7-8th grade teams.

Kaison

Kaison Branch

Kaison played basketball at Highlands high school and started on varsity for three years. He was the team captain for two years. Kaison was named to the All-Conference team his junior and senior years and was invited to play at the Roundball Classic All-Star Game.


In his first year of college Kaison redshirted at CCBC then transferred to Clarion University to finish out his career. He initially walked-on to the men’s basketball team before being rewarded a scholarship in his first year. Kaison was named team captain for three years. He was the starting point/shooting guard for three years while at Clarion.

 

Currently Kaison serves as the assistant boys basketball coach at Propel Montour. He has been in this role for the past two years.

Shannon Boyle Kearney

Coach Shannon Boyle Kearney is a Pittsburgh native who spent 11 years as a competitive varsity head coach. After two enjoyable years as an assistant coach, she fell in love with coaching and mentoring student-athletes. Shannon's coaching career began in 2005 at her alma mater, Oakland Catholic High School.  During her time there, Shannon led teams to honors, including tournament champions, section championships, individual player awards, and successful playoff runs with trips to compete at WPIAL championships and PIAA state championships.  Shannon has been awarded Pennsylvania's Coach of the Year and honored at the Pennsylvania Roundball Tournament to coach High School Girls All-Star games.

 

Shannon has mentored families through the college recruiting and scholarship process and celebrated with players as they achieve their collegiate basketball goals.  Shannon earned a degree in elementary education from Bethany College in West Virginia, where she was a four-year varsity basketball letter winner and received a defensive player of the year award. Shannon received an Early Childhood specialty and her Master’s degree with Principal Certification in School Administration and Educational Leadership at Duquesne University. Shannon helps coach her children's youth teams within the Fox Chapel Basketball programs and runs various camps, clinics, and training sessions for aspiring local players. Shannon enjoys working with and learning from other coaches and continues to gain knowledge about kinesiology, physiology, sports medicine, injury prevention, and sports psychology through professional educational opportunities.  When not in the gym, Shannon is a busy mom of four who is having fun and enjoying life with her husband and their little "team."

Jake

Jake DeMotte

Jake Demotte has been playing basketball since the 2nd grade. Jake started on the Fox Chapel High School basketball team. In his senior year Jake helped lead Fox Chapel High School to a WPIAL championship. He recently finished his sophomore year as a member of the Saint Vincent College basketball team. Jake has experience coaching both AAU and recreational teams. He brings enthusiasm and joy for basketball combined with the unique experience of being a current college basketball player.
